About Ghostwalk
Ghostwalk was started by a group of Santa Paula Theater supporters, not only as a fundraiser for the theater, but also as a way to tell stories-- told by great actors – in great, historic locations that change from year to year.
Not all of our ghosts are based on real people, but all of the tales are tied to historic people, incidents, disasters, or general history of the city of Santa Paula or the Santa Clara River Valley.

Ghostwalk Volunteers
There are scores of local volunteers that help us pull off this annual event, and we thank them all, but there are a few key people we would especially like to thank.
Mary Alice Henderson is our tireless chairwoman who officiates this Ghostwalk fundraiser event. Dee Helsel is our talented Artistic Director and On-Site Producer. She assists with the casting and final drafts of the scripts as well as directs the final staging of the pieces. Helping with lighting, and EFX are two new behind-the-scene assistants, Jerry Cruze and Carlos Juarez. Jeff G. Rack, a former Artistic Director for years with Ghostwalk leaves his imprint with the Ghostwalk logo, now a signature of the event.
Our Ghostwalkers know Louie Hengehold (left) as a favorite, yearly ghost, but he also assists with many of the behind-the-scene details.
